How Can I List and Sell My House for More Than What My Broker is Saying?

Hi there,

I was wondering if I could please get some input on a situation I'm currently in.

I have paid for an appraisal at the request of the mortgage broker and I do not have a copy but the broker/agent has informed me the value came back too low for borrowing the amount I require and the broker informed me what the value is, but that amount quoted is ridiculously low, I know for sure I can list and sell my house for more.

How do I go about doing this?

Thank you.

Hi there and thank you for reaching out to the Canadalend with your question.

Typically appraisals come in lower than the market value, but in appraisals there is a comparable section which allows you to see what the houses are selling for in your area, it is also good to go based off that as that gives you an accurate idea of what your house will actually sell for.

I hope this has helped to answer your question.
