Refinancing Mortgages Affect Credit Score

Refinancing Mortgages Affect Credit Score

How does refinancing my mortgage affect my credit score?

How do hard inquiries affect my credit score as well, does the inquiry tend to diminish over time?

Thank you for your question regarding mortgage refinancing and how this affects your credit score.

Creditors will run your credit report when refinancing your mortgage which results in hard inquiries.

Hard inquiries tend to lower your credit score by a few points.

But it is important to keep in mind that the influence on an inquiry on your credit decreases over time.

I hope this has helped to answer your question regarding refinancing and credit scores. Remember to contact a member of the Canadalend team directly to learn more about the mortgage or refinancing options available to you.

every little thing seems to affect credit scores...I wonder how long it actually takes to diminish the impact of the hard check on my credit score.
